For the Gift of a Friend continues the story of Rebecca and Joshua as they face the challenges of life on the western frontier of Iowa. "Becky" finds that she is struggling with the fact that she is childless and even though she loves her husband, her life seems empty and unfulfilled.
An opportunity to assist the local doctor and be of service to her community and friends si encouraged by Joshua and life takes on a new meaning for Rebecca. Her faith is evident as we observe how God is preparing her, day by day, for the storms that lie ahead.
